WHO :
WHo helped me start my photography journey? That would be steve Donohoue Sr... ,aka my grandpa. he was always encouraging me As a child to draw, paint, play with clay and explore everything creative. from the moment he told me to take his camera and “have fun”, I’ve been in love with photography ever since .
WHAT :
I love to shoot couples . there is nothing like seeing two people truly happy and ready to take on the wolrd together. documenting that kind of happiness is addicting and gives me a joy i never want to lose.
WHEN :
I started shooting weddings 10 years ago and love it more each year. i’m calm and confident in my work because of my experience, and yet love that each day is never exactly the same.
WHERE:
I’m based in the cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area, but I’m always excited to travel for a destination ceremony or elopement.
WHY:
I love seeing other people happy. i’ve met so many amazing couples and always feel like i’ve made new friends with each wedding I shoot. I enjoy learning about what makes Two People perfect for each other, all the sweet things that are unique to their relationship, and hearing about the vision for their day, so I can help tell their story.
HOW :
I spend time getting to know you. I meet with all of my couples in person to learn about them, and their wedding plans. When we take your portraits, don’t worry, i’ll help you with posing, and tell you where to put those akward hands. i’ll also give you direction and prompts to get you moving, dancing, spinning and laughing together. while all of this is going on , i’ll be snapping those magic candid moments that capture the feeling of your relationship.
My Style
Authentic
I know being in front of the camera can be intimidating . The good news is all you need to do is be yourself. i’m not going to force you into something that doesn’t feel natural . If you don’t feel comfortable, the photos won’t look comfortable either. I find those little authentic moments between the poses that feel genuine and showcase you in your best light. We will joke , we will laugh, and most of all we will have fun.
Warm
Photographers will tell you that lighting is everything in an image. It’s true lighting is extremely important, but the truth is we use the light as a tool to highlight the beauty that people already posess. i’m constantly working to find the best light When I shoot, and I typically finish my photos with a bit of a warm touch that still remains authentic to the true look and feel of the day.
Happy
everything i photograph is for a happy occasion. Every picture is made to celebrate someone or something, which means the experience should be low stress and fun! I want you to look back on your photos and have them evoke the warm, joyful feelings you experienced at that time in your life.
